The American thriller film Don't Move, starring Kelsey Asbille and Finn Wittrock, was released by Netflix on October 25, 2024. Sam Raimi produced the movie along with directors Adam Schindler and Brian Netto.
The story revolves around a grieving woman named Iris (played by Kelsey Asbille) who has recently lost her son in a tragic hiking accident. As she visits the site of the incident in a state of depression and delirium, she decides to jump off a cliff and kill herself.
Just when she is about to do it, a man appears at the scene and introduces himself as Richard (Finn Wittrock). He talks to her in a convincing manner, telling her stories about his past and initially saves her life. But Iris soon realizes that Richard is a psychopath turned serial killer.

(1) Kelsey Asbille (Iris)
Kelsey Asbille plays the role of Iris in the movie Don't Move. Iris recently lost her son Mateo in a tragic accident, and in a grieving state of mind, she decides to take her own life.

Asbille spent her early years in South Carolina and later moved to New York to pursue a career in acting. She made her debut in One Tree Hill (2005), playing the role of Gigi. Finn Wittrock plays the role of a serial killer named Richard in the movie Don't Move. He initially comforts Iris with kind words but then drugs her (with a paralytic agent), ties her up, and tries to kill her.
The film portrays him as the antagonist, chasing Iris to death as she escapes from his confines. The character of Richard is the main reason why Iris (who initially wanted to kill herself) starts to think differently and finds the urge to live again.
Finn Wittrock started his early career as a pageboy at the Shakespeare and Company Theatre and later got a degree in fine arts. A few years down the line, he played a number of roles in Off-Broadway plays and finally got a regular part in the soap opera All My Children. He also received a Primetime Emmy nomination in 2014 for playing the part of Dandy Mott in American Horror Story: Freak Show.
The supporting cast and characters of Don't Move
Daniel Francis plays the part of a police officer named Dontrell, who comes across Iris as she tries to escape through the woods. He has a short appearance on screen, but his role is crucial to the plot development. Francis is known for his work in Bridgerton, Stay Close, and The Wheel of Time.
Moray Treadwell has been cast as Bill, an elderly man who tries to save Iris from Richard but unfortunately gets killed by him during an encounter. Among others in the cast, we have Dylan Beam and Skye Little Wing Dimov Saw.
