Josh Ruben's latest directorial Heart Eyes, starring Olivia Holt and Mason Gooding in its lead roles, is indeed stealing hearts and grabbing eyeballs everywhere.
It has left the audience feeling enthralled, and people have many questions too. One of them goes, is there a post-credits scene in Heart Eyes? And the answer to it is, yes. And therefore, here we shall dissect its details.
Valentine's Day is supposed to be a memorable and blissful day for lovers, but things are rather sinister in the world of Heart Eyes. It follows the plot of a notorious murderer with a 'Heart Eyes' mask, who has been ritually killing couples on February 14, that is, the Valentine's Day.
But this time, the killer is chasing two people Ally and Jay who 'seem' to be a couple in the eyes of the killer, but in reality, they are not. As the story unravels the murderer, the unsettling motive behind these gruesome murders is bound to give all the chills.

Does Heart Eyes have a post-credits scene?
Towards the end of a brutal roller coaster of chase and kills, Ally and Jay triumphantly survive at the hands of the killers (yes, there are actually two killers). They manage to kill the murderers and get out of the situation alive. Ally and Jay, who were not a couple at the beginning of the movie, actually end up loving each other by the end during their whole journey together for survival since the arrival of the Heart Eyes killers.
It is disclosed that after a year of the 'Heart Eyes' killing incident, Ally and Jay become a couple after everything that had happened. They eventually take a big step ahead in their relationship by getting engaged, as Jay agrees to marry her after Ally asks him, just moments after Jay asks her to live with him together. Not only do they take important steps in their personal lives, but professional lives as well.
It is interesting to witness that, two people, who were at risk of their lives due to a false assumption, not only have they successfully survived it, but also that assumption turned into a reality for the duo in the course of the story, as they become a romantic couple by the end.
However, there is a stinger as the credits roll. Just when we are warming up to the joyous ending, the element of horror enters their lives again when Ally ends up getting a peculiar phone call, where the voice hints that the killer could be back. But thankfully, it was not the killer but Ally's best friend Monica, as she was documenting their engagement event.
It might not be all surprising too, because when we are watching a horror movie, we are always prepared for any threat to appear out of nowhere, especially during a charged, optimistic moment. But apart from the light-hearted moment which could catch us off guard, the scene has more to it, which now makes an inkling towards a possibility of threat, yet again.
The call conversation between Ally and Monica somehow suddenly ends on a grim note, and the scene is designed to be reminiscent of the beginning scene of Heart Eyes, that is, the massacre at an engagement ceremony at a Winery, by the Heart Eyes killer.
One may easily assume that this time, the killer is out there somewhere lurking at them as if it is not over yet. But at the same time, it may not be at all this way either. It might also just be a subversion of a horrifying engagement scene that took place at the beginning of the story, only this time, it is a legit happy scene like it is actually supposed to be.
Whether or not, there could be a possible continuation of the story is unclear and also uncertain, even though chances are slim as everything was revealed in the story itself, and the killers were already taken down by Ally and Jay. But certainly, there are always endless possibilities in storytelling.
