Disney Snow White's Rachel Zegler has recently received backlash for her comments about Trump supporters. The actress has now apologized for her comments and posted an official apology on her social media.

After Trump was officially re-elected in the 2024 presidential elections, Rachel Zegler expressed her opinions about Trump and his supporters on her social media. She had stated that there was a "deep, deep sickness" in the country.

The actress had also encouraged users to boycott X as it is owned by Elon Musk who supports Trump. Her comments did not sit well with people as many social media users have discouraged audiences from watching her upcoming Disney film, Snow White.

Before we delve into this further, let's recap. Rachel Zegler is an actress starring in Disney's upcoming musical fantasy film, Snow White. Released on March 21, 2025, the film is a live-action remake of the animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

After Rachel Zegler apologized for her comments about Trump and his supporters, many believe that she issued the apology because Disney asked her to.

Since many MAGA supporters stated that they would not go to watch Disney's $200 million dollar live-action remake of Snow White, many are taking to their social media to express that Disney "forced" the actress to apologize.

Before we delve into the apology Rachel Zegler posted, the following are the comments the actress made on her social media about Trump and his supporters. She stated,

"I find myself speechless in the midst of this. Another four years of hatred, leaning us towards a world I do not want to live in. Leaning us towards a world that will be hard to raise my daughter in. Leaning us towards a world that will force her to have a baby she doesn't want. Leaning us towards a world that is fearful."

She further added,

"It is terrifying the number of people who stand behind what this man preaches...It is a foolish subscription to a false sense of security, of masculinity, of intelligence, of patriotism, and of humanity. There is no help, no counsel, in any of them. I could go on. I won't. I feel sad. You probably do, too. F*ck this...May Trump supporters and Trump voters and Trump himself never know peace."

On her Instagram, Zegler also stated that she was "sending love to everyone who needs it today" and "F*ck Donald Trump". Rachel Zegler took to her Instagram and apologized for her comments on Friday, November 15, 2024. In her apology, Zegler stated,

"Hi everyone, I would like to sincerely apologize for the election post I shared on my Instagram last week. I let my emotions get the best of me. Hatred and anger have caused us to move further and further away from peace and understanding, and I am sorry I contributed to the negative discourse."

She further added,

"This week has been emotional for so many of us, but I firmly believe that everyone has the right to their opinion, even when it differs from my own. I am committed to contributing positively toward a better tomorrow."

While many were unhappy with Rachel Zegler's comments, political and conservative commentator Megyn Kelly demanded that she be replaced in Snow White and for Disney to reshoot the film. The former Fox News host stated,

"There's something wrong with this person..Hello, Disney! You're gonna have to redo your film again because this woman is a pig...You're going to put out a Disney film with Snow White, a beloved American character, with a woman who hates more than half the country, the half that just elected Donald Trump? This is an incredible pivot point right now..We'll see which way the woke Disney decides to go."
