Descendants 5: Meet all the actors who have joined the Disney film’s cast so far

Descendants 5 is officially in the works at Disney Branded Television. With the latest installment, this fantasy teen series will bring a bunch of new characters to its roster. Its official synopsis, per IMDb, reads:

"When Wonderland plays host to the Kingdom Cup Games, Red & Chloe Charming must fight to save everyone from an unexpected villain."

According to Deadline, Kimmy Gatewood (Girls5eva, The Baby-Sitters Club) is directing Descendants 5 based on a screenplay by Tamara Chestna (Moxie, Sneakerella) along with Descendants: The Rise of Red writing duo, Ru Sommer & Dan Frey.

Executive producers Suzanne Todd and Gary Marsh will also return to the franchise. Wicked-fame Emilio Dosal will serve as the choreographer.

Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker will reprise their roles from the fourth film as Princess Red and Princess Chloe, respectively. Leonardo Nam is also supposed to make a return as Maddox Hatter. Zavien Garrett, Joel Oulette, Dayton Paradis, and Ryan McEwen will join the cast with the fifth movie along with a few new exciting performers. Its official title has not been revealed yet, but it is supposed to go on floors soon.

Joel Oulette as Robbie Hood, the son of Robin Hood
Zavien Garrett as Felix Facilier, the son of Dr. Facilier
Ryan McEwen as Squirmy Smee, one of Mr. Smee's twin sons
Dayton Paradis as Squeaky Smee, Mr. Smee's other twin son.
Brendon Tremblay as Max Hatter, Maddox Hatter’s son
Alexandro Byrd as Luis Madrigal, Luisa Madrigal’s son
Kiara Romero as Hazel Hook, Captain Hook’s daughter

It is not yet clear whether Brandy Norwood, Rita Ora, and Paolo Montalban will also be in the fifth film. Previously, they played Cinderella, Queen of Hearts, and Prince Charming, respectively.

Descendants 5 offers another deep dive into the world of its musical fantasy movie franchise

Descendants 5 will bring its iconic teen characters back to the TV screens for another time-bending fantasy adventure. According to the reports, it will follow the events from the previous film concerning the fabric of time. The film will be available to watch on Disney Channel and Disney+.

The president of Disney Branded Television, Ayo Davis, spoke about the outpouring of love for the Descendants franchise and also shared her vision behind the upcoming installment.

“The love for the ‘Descendants’ franchise runs deep, and the incredible response to ‘Descendants: The Rise of Red’ last year proved just how much fans are invested in these characters and their stories."

She further added,

“Our next movie will build on that legacy and deliver even more of the magic, music, and heart that make ‘Descendants’ so special — brought to life by an amazing cast and creative team who continue to elevate this world in new and exciting ways.”
