Con Mum: Where is Graham Hornigold now?
Con Mum traces the origins of Graham Hornigold's life.
Graham was born at an army encampment in Germany in 1974. He and his father had shifted to the UK soon after. From the age of two, he was raised by foster parents for two years. After that, he lived with his father and his stepmother. He was not aware of any information regarding his birth mother.
However, as he was growing up, Graham began getting involved in making a career in the food industry from the age of 14. He went on to become an incredibly well-established pastry chef, as he received many accolades for his work.
After working in several renowned Michelin-star restaurants and premium hotels such as Hakkasan, he began investing in his own doughnut business, 'Long Boys'. As per Marie Claire, this fine pastry brand has three outlets across London, as of now.
Cooking show enthusiasts may also easily identify Graham Hornigold, as he has previously been seen in the immensely popular cooking shows, namely Junior Bake Off, and in Masterchef: The Professionals as a judge.
However, Graham has had a difficult time during the arrival of Dionne, the con woman who posed as his birth mother. After she extorted money from him through lies and trickery, he was left bankrupt, with a total sum of £300,000.
Not only has the incident cost him hefty monetary loss, but also severe emotional damage. He has been longing for maternal affection and care since his childhood, and Dionne, who later proved to be his biological mother as per DNA tests, has deeply exploited his vulnerability.
This unfortunate incident has not only impacted his mental health but also ruined his interpersonal relationships. In Con Mum, it is revealed that his former partner Heather and he are no longer together, and his son is living with her in New Zealand.
Graham Hornigold was 45 when this incident happened, now, the pastry chef is 50.
