Captain America: Brave New World is all out to bring some game-changing narratives into the MCU. Currently, as the Marvel Cinematic Universe is slowly gearing up to move towards the 6th phase, Captain America: Brave New World skyrockets as an intricate piece of the MCU puzzle.
All set to come to the big screens in February 2025, the film has the potential to be more exciting and it gives the MCU fandom a chance to look forward to other stuff more than just Anthony Mackie being Captain America.
Captain America: Brave New World is set to get some sort of a change within the MCU and here is a list of 3 things that fans can expect to look forward to:
1) The MCU is finally bringing in the Mutant(s):
The MCU’s Captain America: Brave New World is already teasing the prospects to magnify the MCU by bringing in more characters – especially by introducing more iconic Mutants. With Captain America: Brave New World, the MCU might at last talk about one of its lengthiest awaited storylines – the mutants. Even with the arrival of Deadpool & Wolverine in the MCU, Producer Kevin Feige has been teasing the arrival of more mutants in the MCU. In an interview with Deadline –
“I think you will see that continues in our next few movies with some X-Men players that you might recognize. Right after that, the whole story of Secret Wars really leads us into a new age of mutants and of the X-Men. Again, [it’s] one of those dreams come true. We finally have the X-Men back.”
With Captain America: Brave New World, the film might make a way for the return of the inexplicable Celestial Tiamut who was introduced in Marvel’s Eternals, a story that had huge amount of ability to explain the factors that bridged a gap between mutants and humanity.
With this Marvel movie possibly having a larger scope of fan following than the Eternals, the film functions as a stepping stone to finally introduce more mutants moving further in the MCU.
2. The Future of the Avengers related to Captain America: Brave New World?
Ever since 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, the Earth's Mightiest Heroes have been missing from the multiversal saga as a team. Some of them have their solo projects coming out like WandaVision, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Spiderman: No Way Home, The Falcon, and the Winter Soldier along with the introduction of some of the members of the New Avengers like Kate Bishop, Kamala Khan, America Chavez, the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are yet to unite as a team and fans cannot wait!
Captain America: Brave New World producer Nate Moore infers that Brave New World could potentially act as a take-off for the Avengers to finally reappear as a team, especially with Sam Wilson riding the wheel as she believes and quotes that -
"I think that Avengers teams are best when they are led by a Captain America,” says the producer. “And this movie gives us a little bit of space to talk about, ‘Where are the Avengers? What does it mean to have Avengers? And is Sam the right guy to lead them?"
With the two new Avengers films i.e., Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars set to release soon, the foundation for their reemergence needs to be laid down. With Captain America: Brave New World introducing Thaddeus as the Red Hulk, along with the relationship that Thaddeus shares with the superhero gang, the stakes are higher and heavier than ever. Could Captain America: Brave New World lay the foundation for the Avengers to finally return? Fans will have to wait to see.
The film’s inclusion of formidable foes, including Harrison Ford’s Thaddeus “Red Hulk” Ross and Giancarlo Esposito’s Sidewinder, suggests that the stakes are higher than ever. The Avengers’ return feels inevitable, and this film might provide the clarity fans have long awaited.
3. Red Hulk’s Presidency and the Shift in Superhero Politics
Conceivably the utmost titillating change is General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross taking up the role of the president of the United States of America. Famously known for his hostile viewpoint towards the Avengers, Ross’ political upsurge exemplifies a tremulous shift in the MCU’s power play. Ross’ dual identity as Red Hulk and General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in Captain America: Brave New World puts him out to be a double threat with him possessing humongous physical strength as well as influence as the president of the USA.
There might be a huge chance that his presidency might redefine how the superheroes in the MCU might operate.
Captain America: Brave New World pledges to be a whirling point for the MCU, providing modifications that will heave through its future phases. From launching mutants to laying the groundwork for the Avengers’ reappearance and reforming superhero politics under Red Hulk’s presidency, this film isn’t just a carryover of Sam Wilson’s story—it’s an audacious redefinition of Marvel’s cinematic universe. Fans can look forward to a finer, more interlocked narrative that tallies spectacle with essence, ensuring that the MCU remains a cultural yardstick in entertainment.
