Bodies Bodies Bodies was among the movies that everyone wanted to catch up on big screens in 2022. This American comedy horror film provides a twist that gets the horror element across as a dark comedy. The film discusses human nature and paranoia, but the very end has people scratching their heads.

Bodies Bodies Bodies hit Netflix in the US on March 20, 2024. This wild-and-wacky slasher mystery centers around seven friends trapped in an upscale mansion during a hurricane. Initially, the film seems like it's going to be one of those movies about unwinding who's holding secrets, but gets far more complicated.

Bodies, Bodies, Bodies is a new slasher film from A24. Dutch actress/writer/director Halina Reijn directed the movie. The screenwriter was Sarah DeLape with executive producers David Hinojosa and Ali Herting. The movie features Amandla Stenberg, Maria Bakalova, Myha'la Herrold, Chase Sui Wonders, Rachel Sennott, Lee Pace, and Pete Davidson.

What happens in the ending scene of Bodies Bodies Bodies

Bodies Bodies Bodies is a film that speaks to Gen-Z. This movie captures that vibe, tone, and essence to make it relatable. It is about an insane night in a very remote mansion where five friends, all super rich and good-looking decide to spend a weekend together. All the individuals are involved in a wild weekend, but things go sinisterly wild as someone starts killing them off and the party's ruined.

The evening gets underway when Sophie suggests a round of "Bodies Bodies Bodies", a derivative of "wink murder" in which there's one "killer" and everyone else tries to figure out whodunnit. But things soon turn sour.

Greg gets into a fight with David, then David has a blowout with Emma and storms off. To make matters worse, the storm amps up, and the power cuts out, leaving them without any cell service. If that is not enough, the girls come across David by the pool, with a slit throat covered in blood.

The film follows the story of Sophie, played by Amandla Stenberg, and Bee, portrayed by Maria Bakalova. The two are a young couple just getting to know each other. They are having a hang-out session at the rich kid David's mansion, played by Pete Davidson.

They are joined by their friend Emma, played by Chase Sui Wonders, an insecure character. Jordan, played by Myha'la Herrold is observant. Alice, played by Rachel Sennott who’s personality is a little dim but well-intentioned.

They're all a bit baffled as to why they're there, but they're attempting civility. One's missing Max, who stormed off earlier, and we'll get to that in a minute then there's Greg (Lee Pace), some sort of older mystery man Alice met on Tinder recently.

Bodies Bodies Bodies puts a twist on the typical slasher movie formula; paranoia is right at the center as the real killer. Sophie and Bee are the only ones left standing following a killing spree. They're still suspicious of one another due to their deteriorating relationship and not knowing who the killer might be.

But during a tussle over Sophie's phone to get some help, they find David's phone and learn his death was an accident result of a TikTok video creation attempt gone wrong.

Of course, no real killer is lurking in the shadows; instead, it becomes clear that all the deaths that occurred were a result of deep-seated resentment and paranoia because of cocaine.

As more people die, their deaths become increasingly tragic in context. Greg's death is specifically particularly sad, for he is truly the only innocent party involved and is only acquainted with everybody else because of Alice.
