Batman had quite a visit to feudal Japan and now that he's back to the present in Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League, Japan no longer exists. We will again see him bringing those nijutsu skills into play in the Batman Ninja (2018) sequel. For now, we have a trailer and the film is set for a March 2025 release.

Other than Batsie, we will see more characters returning in the movie, including the Joker, Harley Quinn, Nightwing, and more. The Japanese voice will return with it, but the English dub cast is still under wraps. We are likely to see Tony Hale, Roger Craig Smith, Tara Strong, and more reprising their voice roles again.

Kazuki Nakashima, who wrote the previous film, is returning as the screenwriter and is known for his work on projects like Oh! Edo Rocket (2001), Crayon Shin-chan: Intense Battle! Robo Dad Strikes Back (2014), BNA: Brand New Animal (2020), and more.

Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League is releasing on March 18, 2025, on digital platforms including Amazon Prime, Apple TV+, Vudu, and more. Moreover, it will be released for 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray on April 15, 2025 (via Collider).

The cast of Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League

Koichi Yamadera is returning to voice the Batman in the film; you might know him from Dragon Ball Super as the sleepy Lord Beerus. Other than that, he has given life to characters including but not limited to Cowboy Bebop's Spike Spiegel, Ghost in the Shell's Togusa, and more.

Joining him in the returning voice cast for the sequel is Daisuke Ono, who plays Nightwing, a member of the Bat family. He is Shukuro Tsukishima from the hit animation series Bleach but has played other prominent roles in series like Attack on Titan, Black Butler, and more.

While the plot will surely focus on the Yakuza, the Joker will be there too, as we saw in the trailer, and Wataru Takagi will reprise the voice role for the character. Like Ono, he is also a part of Bleach. And he is the Japanese voice behind the wacky Daffy Duck.

More voice actors will be there and you can find their names below. Oh, and there's a character that'll jog the fans' memories to Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins days.

  • Ayane Sakura as Green Lantern

What is Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League about?

Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League is mostly about Yakuzas falling from the sky, so you can say it's raining Yakuzas and Yakuzas. But here's a synopsis that'll clear things out (via IGN)

"The Batman Family has returned to present-day Gotham City after traveling back to the warring states period and saving history from being altered in the previous film, Batman Ninja. The next day, they witness a startling event – the Japanese island has disappeared, and a giant island called ‘Hinomoto’ appears in the sky over Gotham City.
