Kevin Gates’s alleged girlfriend, Persia, has slammed the rapper for misleading her when he recently stepped out with Brittany Renner.

The controversy stemmed from the rapper’s recent Instagram video he uploaded on April 3, 2025. The video seemingly confirms his relationship with Renner. In the clip shared on his Instagram, he is seen holding hands with Renner inside a car. He captioned the video,

On April 5, 2025, Persia took to Instagram, where she blasted Gates for his deceptive behavior. In the video, she stated that Gates told her that he was “legally separated” from his wife.

According to a report in People Magazine, Kevin and his wife, Dreka Gates, have been together since 2015. They started dating in 2003. As per multiple reports, it remains unclear as to whether they are together or not since none of the parties have commented on their current marital status yet.

According to a report in The Shade Room, Persia P., the woman who claimed to be Kevin Gates’ girlfriend, made several allegations against the rapper. She alleged that Gates misled her about his marital status, claiming that he was "legally separated" from his wife, Dreka Gates, which influenced her decision to pursue a relationship with him.

“I want to make one thing very clear, I would never f**k with a married man. This man told me he’s legally separated, so that’s that. I simply came onto this platform to express how I feel ’cause I have every right to feel the way that I do and to any other women that are going through the same thing, it’s okay to stand up for yourself.

Dealing with men that manipulate, gaslight, lie, all of that. I’m just sick of it all. I’m sick of this man leading me on this whole time.” She said in a video posted on her Instagram account on April 5, 2025.

“I just believed everything that came out of that man’s mouth, and that’s my fault. I take accountability for that, and lesson learned,” she added.

She also accused Renner of being involved with a married man.

"It’s honestly just sick how I was just laid up with him, and you seen it, and you decided to hit him up to meet up. Just disgusting," she said.

She further called Gates “manipulative” and “narcissistic,” asserting that he uses women for his own benefit and discards them when they’re no longer useful.

“He called you washed several times and that you lost your glow. That just goes to show you how this man just uses women when it’s beneficial to him. Just manipulative and narcissistic as f*ck.” Persia P stated in her video.

The report added that Persia P is now receiving threats from Gates' team, which also included a woman who previously approved of their relationship.
