Anne Hathaway expresses gratitude for her upcoming third collaboration with Christopher Nolan
Christopher Nolan's upcoming film would see him teaming up with Anne Hathaway after a decade following The Dark Knight Rises which was released back in 2012. In a recent interview with Women's Wear Daily, Anne Hathaway spoke at length about her excitement of joining a Nolan film once again. She stated:
"I have so many feelings about it that I don’t even know how to articulate. It fills me with so much joy … I love Chris and Emma Nolan so much, and to be invited into their world (is) one of the best places you can find yourself.”
She further added:
"Getting to be invited twice really felt like something, three felt like it would’ve been greedy, so I never let myself hope that that would happen, and that it has makes me emotional, to be perfectly honest. It makes me feel like I’m doing something right.”
Anne Hathaway took the opportunity to express her gratitude for Christopher Nolan earlier this year in March. She had remarked then that Nolan was an "angel" to give her the role of NASA scientist Amelia Brand in Interstellar. She also commented that her landing the role coincided with a particularly different phase in life when in the wake of her Oscar success she was slammed with internet hatred. She said to Vanity Fair:
"I don’t know if he knew that he was backing me at the time, but it had that effect, and my career did not lose momentum the way it could have if he hadn’t backed me. Getting ‘Interstellar’ at any point in your life would have been a career highlight. The moment that I got to go into that world, for me personally, it was the safest and most exhilarating place I could ever be as an actor and as a human.””
What's the latest buzz about Christopher Nolan's upcoming film?
Although the upcoming film does not yet have a title, it is expected to be released on July 17, 2026, exclusively at theatres. The film would be a multi-star cast venture, and Anne Hathaway is one among several grateful actors teaming up with Nolan. Actor Tom Holland has himself stated that getting the call from Nolan was indeed a big moment in his life. He added:
"It was reminiscent of getting the call about ‘Spider-Man’ 10 years ago. It’s an amazing thing for me. I’m super proud and I’m really, really excited.”
