Hollywood veteran star and Academy Award nominee, Sylvester Stallone, is back to set the screen ablaze with an upcoming action crime thriller, Alarum, starring alongside Scott Eastwood and Willa Fitzgerald.
The film is set to make its theatrical release on 17th January 2025 in the United States but can be viewed only in selected theatres and on video on demand format. The film's shooting took place in 2024, at Hueston Woods State Park in Oxford, Ohio.
Michael Polish has directed the film alongside writer Alexander Vesha. The story centers on a spy couple who go MIA to get along with their life. But they soon get themselves involved in attacks from different intelligence agencies who try to retrieve a drive containing crucial information from them.

Plot and Cast details of Alarum explored
The movie is about a couple named Joe and Lara, who are ex-assassins, who are out of sight from the world and are seeking refuge in a holiday resort in Belize as they plan to get married.
However, things do not go as planned due to a plane crash happening close by and the couple recovering a confidential hard drive from the crash event. They soon become the target of government officials who are striving to gain the flash drive from the couple.
Along with Sylvester Stallone as Agent Chester, the film's cast includes:

- Willa Fitzgerald as Agent Laura
- Mike Colter as Orlin
- Isis Valverde as Bridgette

Nonetheless, it will be a huge delight for all the Sly Stallone fans, who still revere him for his screen presence in iconic films such as Rocky (1976), First Blood (1982), Cobra (1986), etc.
Scott Eastwood's presence in the trailer of Alarum looks promising, who has previously starred in popular films such as the DC comic series-based film, Suicide Squad (2016), The Fate of the Furious (2017), Fast X (2023), and more.
Willa Fitzgerald's action scenes look captivating as well, who was previously seen at MTV's Scream (2015-2016), Royal Pains (2009-2016), Dare Me (2019-2020), and most recently, in the miniseries The Fall of the House of Usher (2023).

The gun-blazing, high-powered action scenes in the trailer do promise a plethora of intense, heart-racing scenes coming our way. The exchanges between Stallone and Eastwood's characters provoke interest in unraveling the characters' relationship with one another, with the spirited background score amplifying the viewers' experience.
Alarum will be distributed by Lionsgate and is produced by Convergence Entertainment Group, who had previously produced Cash Out (2024), Savage Salvation (2022), and many more, and BondIt Media Capital, who have produced films such as Terrifier 3 (2024), Woman of the Hour (2023), and Midway (2019). The Irish and UK distribution rights for the film are acquired by Signature Entertainment. As reported by Variety, its Chief Commercial Officer, Elizabeth Williams stated:
“Everyone loves the legend that is Sly Stallone – we’re delighted to be working with our friends at Highland once again on such an appealing film and we couldn’t be more excited to bring this twisty espionage action thriller to U.K. and Irish audiences.”
Interestingly, the three of these production houses have set to collaborate together for a Sly Stallone film yet again with Alarum, having previously produced the 2024 action thriller Armor. Lionsgate is also instrumental in producing one of Stallone's highly iconic film series, Rambo.
