Aftermath cast and character guide: Who plays whom in Netflix's latest action thriller?

Aftermath is a film filled with action and a lot of thrills packaged as a genre piece. Patrick Lussier has directed it while Nathan Graham Davis is the writer. The film revolves around a group of people who are held hostage at the Tobin Memorial Bridge which is situated in Boston.

Aftermath was produced by Voltage Pictures and was released theatrically on November 1, 2024. It started streaming on Netflix in February 2025.

Aftermath was shot extensively in Boston, Massachusetts amid the presence of several military people who oversaw the production in the capacity of an advisor.

(1) Mason Gooding as Jimmy

Mason Gooding plays the role of Jimmy in Aftermath and he is a pivotal presence in the story. Gooding comes from a family of performers as his father is actor Cuba Gooding Jr. He has appeared in major roles in two television shows: Ballers and Love, Victor. Gooding has also done films like Booksmart, Fall and Scream.

(2) Dylan Sprouse as Eric

Dylan Sprouse is playing the role of Eric in Aftermath who is a veteran. He is going to a film theatre with his sister. However, he becomes a part of the investigation of the hostage. He decides to eliminate them after his sister is attacked. Dylan started out as a child actor in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.

(3) Dichen Lachman as Doc

Dichen Lachman is Doc in the film who is one of the convicts put inside the armored truck. She is the person for whom the hostage situation happens as it's carried out by someone who wants to eliminate her for betrayal. The Australian actor has appeared in Jurassic World Dominion and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes among others.

(4) Megan Stott as Madeline

Megan Stott is Madeline Daniels, who is the younger sister of Eric. Despite them being estranged, they are quite close. The 16-year-old ends up driving the truck owned by Eric and gets into a hostage situation on the bridge. In 2020, Stott started her career as a child actress in the television miniseries Little Fires Everywhere.

In an interview with Pop Culturist, Dylan Sprouse opened up about doing an action film for the first time. He said

"I’m new to the world of action movies, but I find the combination of physical training for an action film and the emotional journey of performing as the character to be incredibly interesting. It’s very gratifying and fun, especially when I can work with someone like Mason, who I knew even before filming would be great on screen. We like the same stuff, so I knew sparring on set with knives and fake guns was going to be like every boy’s dream. It’s what we enjoy doing anyway."
