Afro Nation Portugal Festival 2025: Presale, how to get tickets, dates, & all you need to know as Burna Boy is set to headline

Afro Nation 2025 is scheduled to be held from July 9, 2025 to July 11, 2025 at the Praia Da Rocha Beach in Portimão, Portugal. The 2025 edition of the festival will be the fifth overall edition and will see Burna Boy return as the headliner for the third time.

Presale for the festival's tickets will be available from October 2, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. BST. In order to access said presale, interested patrons need to sign up at the official website of the festival before the presale goes live. General tickets for the festival will be available from October 3, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. BST. There will be options to upgrade tickets as well as packages once tickets are released.

All tickets will come with a 14% fee at the time of booking and patrons are required to make a account before purchasing tickets. Booking protection is available via XCover.com and can be signed up for during checkout. Please note that only those tickets with booking protection are eligible for refunds.

Payment plans for festival tickets will also be available till May 31, 2025 and all plans will require an additional fee on top of normal ticket price and booking fees.

Tickets for the festival will follow a staggered release, with prices rising with subsequent releases of tickets. In order to make the most of the tickets sale, it is recommended that patrons buy early. Only tickets purchased from the official website of the festival are valid and any resale tickets will be barred from entry.

More on Afro Nation 2025 festival

Afro Nation 2025 festival is being produced by Malachite Group and MOT in association with BBC Radio, 1xtra and Visit Portugal. The festival will return as the largest AfroBeats festival in the world and one that unites the African diaspora with music, food, fashion and dance, among other cultural highlights.

Tems will be the first female headliner of Afro Nation and the festival announced her debut in the Instagram post embedded above in the following manner:

"Our first female african headliner, and it’s only right that we chose this queen to bless us with her amazing voice in Portimao! 🇵🇹 She’s let us know she’s Not An Angel, but her heavenly voice is sure to take the vibes on the beach Higher, to new levels for our 5th year anniversary! The upcoming Afro Nation festival is an 18+ event only and festival visitors will need to provide a valid photo ID such as a passport or driving license in order to prove their identity and age.

There will be no lockers available at the festival and it is recommended that festival visitors carry only the essentials in small bags. All purchases within the festival will be done via the festival wristbands, which can be topped up at the official website of the festival.

There is no camping at Afro Nation, but a plethora of accomodation options are available in the nearby areas. The festival recommends those who are flying to the festival to land at Faro International Airport.

Cameras are not allowed within the festival without a press pass, neither are outside food and drinks allowed. There will be provision for water within the festival premises.
