A Quiet Place Part III: Everything we know about John Krasinski's upcoming sequel

The blind death angels are still at large in John Krasinski's horror film franchise, but A Quiet Place III will likely bring a conclusion to the table this time. It's easy to confuse A Quiet Place: Day One for the third part, but it's the third movie in the series. The sequel to A Quiet Place Part II will be the fourth film on the list.

Fans are still looking for some official news regarding the upcoming film. Paramount actually did schedule it for a 2025 release but delayed the movie for an indefinite time. The only confirmation is that the project was confirmed to be in place, so that's the only thing we have for now—that it might happen.

John Krasinski seems to be walking a busy schedule, and as it is the most likely scenario that he will be directing A Quiet Place Part III, the film may not be released next year, or even in 2026 for that matter. He is currently in the mix of projects like a Jack Ryan film, Fountain of Youth, and Silent River that's probably taking up much of his time.

The fact that the second film ended with a cliffhanger is one hope for the creators to continue, or at least finish, the main story with A Quiet Place Part III. Now the survivors know that it's not just the high-pitched sound that's damaging to the death angels; water isn't healthy for them.

There are no official details as to where the plot might go, but it is possible that it will revolve around the Norwalk Islands, where survivors have taken refuge. A death angel found his way around the water but was killed eventually, so it could be about devising a bigger strategy to find and hit the root cause of the problem.

Characters like Emmett and Henri may return in A Quiet Place Part III; the probability of it for the latter is more likely. If that is going to be the final chapter in the franchise, characters from the video game A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead may well make it to the story.

The events in the game take place between Day One and Part I, where the death angels' invasion is well into the hundred days. Alex from The Road Ahead survives the story, so it would be better to involve her and her child, who remains unborn till the end.

Potential cast details in A Quiet Place Part III

John Krasinski is out of the game following the events of the first film. Nevertheless, Emily Blunt will most probably return for the lead as Evelyn Abbott. Millicent Simmonds could play the major role as she was the silent protagonist in the film.

Other than that, Cillian Murphy's Emmett should return, but he is in the mix, akin to John Krasinski. Djimon Hounsou played Henri in the story and was the leader of the survivors on the island. Assuming the events in A Quiet Place III will happen on Norwalk Island, his role could be a major one.
