Jason Momoa is quickly becoming one of Hollywood's favorite stars, delivering one blockbuster after another, proving himself to be indispensable to successful films.
Well-known for his roles in franchises like Dune, Aquaman, and DC's Justice League, the 45-year-old actor's latest role as A Minecraft Movie's Garrett Garrison has managed to steal the show, making it one of the most loved central characters of the film.
In just a week, A Minecraft Movie, which was inspired by the Minecraft video game, has managed to earn more than $300 million, which is more than any film that has been released this year. It has surpassed Warner Bros' 2023 box office endeavors with Barbie and The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
Garrison is crucial to the plot of the film, as his character is a struggling video game seller who, unable to move beyond an achievement he had at the peak of his career, becomes prone to daydreaming about his golden days. As the film progresses and worlds collide, he ends up meeting Steve, another protagonist, and together they enter the cubic world where everything is made of blocks!
The film is getting significant praise from movie-goers, making it one of Warner Bros' most profitable projects of late. It now holds the position of being the ninth most successful movie based on a video game, and seeing it's growth, it could very well become one of the top three anytime!
