The much awaited sequel to the 2022 worldwide hit movie, Smile is finally ready to hit the screens this Halloween. Smile was a massive hit, grossing $217m worldwide. There was no doubt that Paramount Pictures and Temple Hill Entertainment would come up with a sequel or not, and finally the news of the movie making a comeback is finally here.

Director Parker Finn is said to return to create his magic he did in the first installment. The movie will follow pop star Skye Riley as she will go through scary and terrfying events, making the eerie feeling of the first movie even more diabolical. The movie will also star Rosemarie DeWitt, Kyle Gallner, and Lukas Gage. Smile 2 will release on October 18, 2024.


2. Don't Move

If you are a horror movies enthutiast, Sam Raimi is a name you must be familiar with. The Director of Evil Dead trilogy and Drag Me To Hell is back with another banger of a Horror movie as a producer.

The movie follows Iris, played by Kelsey Asbille after she's injected with paralytic agent. The race against time formula always works best to create the perfect tense atmosphere a horror movie needs. Iris must also race against time to survive and protect herself before her body finally gives up.

This Brian Netto and Adam Schindler directed movie will also star Finn Wittrock and Daniel Francis. The movie will release on October 25, 2024, reportedly on Netflix.


3. Time Cut

Time travelling movies may not fit into into the original jumpscare and gory genre, but they still make for a good horror movie watch with their spooky time traveling track.

Madison Bailey stars in Time Cut as a high school senior student, who accidently finds a time machine one day. She then uses the time machine to travel all the way back to 2003, when her sister was murdered by an unidentified killer.

The movie will follow Bailey traveling back in time and her quest to save her sister and also unmask her killer. The movie is directed by Hannah MacPherson and will release on October 30, 2024 on Netflix.


4. It's What's Inside

A friend group secluded in a remote home for a party is a horror movie genre that might be overdone, but it is fun nonetheless. Next up on the list is a trippy movie which might send you in an existential spiral, guessing who's who.

It's What's Inside follows a group of friends who are all gathered together for one of their friend's pre-wedding party. When one of their friends shows up with a mysterious machine that lets you switch bodies with other people, things go awry.

Director Greg Jardin calls this movie ''the horror of the soul''. The movie stars Brittany O’Grady, James Morosini, Alycia Debnam-Carey. Devon Terrell and David Thompson. This slasher Sci-fi is now available to stream on Netflix.


5. The Platform 2

Dystopian movies are another popular sub genre in the Horror movies category. The Platform is a 2019 Spanish dystopian horror directed by Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia, which follows a group of prisoners locked up in a vertical cell system, where a platform full of food descends to each level for a fixed period of time.

The prisoners on each level are only allowed to satiate their hunger within that time. The sequel will further explore this arrangement as the movie progresses and the prisoners will become greedy, with hunger for more.

The movie stars Parallel Mothers stars Milena Smit and Hovik Keuchkerian and is available to stream on Netflix.


6. Terrifier 3

Guess who's back with the upcoming festival season? Its Art the clown, making his comeback to make your Halloween even more spooky. Every horror movies fan knows Art the clown from the very popular Terrifier franchise.

Director Damien Leone is back with a third installment. The movie will follow Sienna Shaw and her brother as they struggle to rebuild their lives after the horrific incidents of Art the Clown.

Just as they are ready to welcome the festival season, Art comes back in their life with his accomplice Victoria Heyes. The movie stars David Howard Thornton, Lauren LaVera, Elliott Fullam, and Samantha Scaffidi and will hit the theatres on October 11, 2024.


7. Your Monster

Caroline Lindy directed a short movie in 2019 with the same name, and she is now back with a full feature movie based on the earlier release.

A romantic horror movie sees Melissa Barrera as Laura Franco, who is recovering from an upsetting breakup with her boyfriend while battling cancer. She then finds a terriyfing yet eerily attractive monster living in her closet, who she ''befriends''.

The movie also stars Tommy Dewey, Edmund Donovan, Kayla Foster, and Meghann Fahy and will release on October 25. 2024.
