Captain America: Brave New World was altered a lot, courtesy of rigorous reshoots. Now we have a reason to say that the film could have been better had it stayed faithful to whatever the original script was. Though DC is a Marvel rival (the game is flourishing, by the way), Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) will support this.

It wasn't a subject to rave reviews but it did bring a couple of (almost dead) films to life: The Incredible Hulk (2008) and Eternals (2021). That tells us no product is really old for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and everything has an impact on these stories sooner or later.

That said Captain America: Brave New World is a part of these stories and we can already see how it will change the MCU. From the arrival of a super powerful metal to a World War II super assassin-turned-politician, there's a lot that is likely to play a greater role than we can think.

Turns out Captain America: Brave New World isn't so bad

Vibranium apparently has a heavyweight rival now

Other than Red Hulk (Harrison Ford) in Captain America: Brave New World, the Celestial Island made some big headlines. Though it debuted in 2021, it was in the latest Julius Onah film that sent the word to fans that he is made with the same element as the classic Wolverine's claws.

Now it serves as one of the two elements other than Vibranium, that has been a dominating metal since the very beginning of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In 'Celestial' terms, we have a handful of it now and that certainly is going to be something that'll be needed for the future battles in the MCU.

MCU just turned politics up a notch

There's a lot of politics in there. Though government officials have been there in the MCU movies, Captain America: Brave New World added that bit a lot. It is understandable as we are dealing with the POTUS here, but Bucky (Sebastian Stan)? Even Time magazine was surprised, as they too acknowledged that he is a politician now.

This is interesting given the fact that he is leading a pack of not-so-superheroes in Thunderbolts*. We saw Valentina arguing in a political assembly and addressing the fact that we don't have the Avengers now, so add that to it too.

A world without Captain America

That skinny Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) turned into stocky Captain America is nowhere to be seen now. Last time we checked, he was back in time, returning the infinity stones, and joining that date he promised Peggy (Hayley Atwell). Well, that lasted quite long, as when he returned, he had wrinkles on his face.

Now, following the end of Steve Rogers, we don't know what kind of variant may appear (please, MCU, let Chris Evans play that). But as of now, the world will be different without the original Captain America (and the Earth's greatest defender)

A world with new Avengers

We don't know what kind of Avengers we'll be getting in MCU's days to come, Dark or Young; seriously, we don't know. But we will be getting a new set of the band. Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) has already offered the job to his sidekick Joaquin Torres (Danny Ramirez), aka the Falcon, after he came crashing down, ending up on a stretcher in Captain America: Brave New World.

Now we have got a bunch of others whom Falcon might be joining. We have Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), Skaar (Wil Deusner), Billy Maximoff (Joe Locke), and more in line. Chances are, they'll be under the tutelage of Sam Wilson.

Captain America: Brave New World finally pushes that multiverse button

Up until this point, the multiverse was a territory for the MCU sorcerers, but with the mention of "the others" by Samuel Sterns (Tim Blake Nelson), it is coming to the attention of the other heroes part of the Sacred Timeline.

Now consider all the above four points and you'll realize how pivotal they are in shaping those events awaiting to come to fruition. Maybe we won't see it in Avengers: Doomsday, but it surely is something to ponder when Secret Wars come into play.
