Netflix comes up with some great movie releases this spring month of April 2025.

Last month, Netflix released some iconic movies, including The Life List, The Holiday, 50 First Dates, The Electric State, Wedding Crashers, etc. Therefore, a set of a whole new plethora of exciting movies shall be released this month as well.

1) A Dog's Way Home (Netflix release: 24th April)

A heart-touching movie that serves as a treat for all the dog lovers out there, and all the animal lovers in general, A Dog's Way Home releases on Netflix on 24th April 2025.

Released in 2019, this movie is based on a novel named 'A Dog's Way Home,' penned by author W. Bruce Cameron. Helmed by Charles Martin Smith, it follows the plot of a dog named Bella and her remarkable yet tedious expedition to reconnect with her long-lost pet parent, Lucas.

The film stars Bryce Dallas Howard, who lends her voice to Bella, along with Jonah Hauer-King, Ashley Judd, Alexandra Shipp, Edward James Olmos, and many others.


2) Field of Dreams (Netflix release: 1st April)

The Academy Award-nominated film Field of Dreams started streaming on Netflix on 1st April 2025.

This 1989 classic stars Kevin Costner, Amy Madigan, James Earl Jones, Ray Liotta, etc. Directed by Phil Alden Robinson, this film is about a man named Ray, who encounters a prophecy from an enigmatic voice, which provokes him to transform his cornfield into a baseball diamond.


3) The Croods (Netflix release: 1st April)

The much adored animated classic The Croods has also been on Netflix now since 1st April 2025.

This DreamWorks Animation film is set in the prehistoric world and follows the plot of a family who navigates their way of survival and livelihood amidst natural catastrophes.

Actors including Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, and Catherine Keener lend their voice work for the film's characters.


4) The Addams Family (Netflix release: 9th April)

The iconic 1991 classic The Addams Family will soon be on Netflix this month, releasing on 9th April 2025.

A part of the huge legacy of The Addams Family, the film follows the plot of the odd yet loving family- The Addams Family, who are fascinated with anything morbid and gothic. However, the family experiences a case of identity theft when somebody else poses as Fester, the brother of Gomez.

The film stars the late actor Raul Julia, Anjelica Huston, Christopher Lloyd, Christina Ricci, and many others. The film is helmed by Barry Sonnenfeld.

You might want to revisit the scintillating chemistry of Raul Julia and Anjelica Huston in their portrayals of Gomez and Morticia in the film while you wait for Wednesday Season 2's release on Netflix.


5) The Breakfast Club (Netflix release: 1st April)

One of the most celebrated films of the 1980s, The Breakfast Club, was released on Netflix on 1st April 2025.

Released in 1985, the film talks about a group of high school students' experiences in detention. Something changes inside them when they are asked to write about themselves, as they hear each other's stories and empathize.

The film stars Emilio Estevez, Paul Gleason, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson, and many others.
