The Joker portrayed by Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight is one of the most twisted characters in the history of cinema. While the script in itself was a masterpiece, actor Heath Ledger embodied the character of Joker so well that any little tweak he provided in the scenes seemed to come as if from the Joker himself. One such unscripted moment was while Joker was imprisoned he starts slow clapping in a sarcastic manner. This scene, improvised by Heath Ledger, gave the character of Joker the sinister twisted power it needed.
