A two-part episode, "Who Shot Mr. Burns?" became one of the biggest cliffhangers in The Simpsons during its 7th season. The question of who shot the notoriously greedy Mr. Burns riveted the audience for months. It was almost necessary that Part 1 ended with Burns being shot and falling, thus beginning one of TV's longest teasers.
