Anthony Hopkins added to the sinister appeal of The Silence of the Lambs through his chilling performance. One such scene is when he produces hissing sounds after reminiscing about his meal of human liver. This was not in the script but it added such a grotesque quality to the scene that the directors had to add it to the final cut.
