Friends is one of the most popular shows to exist. David Schwimmer who portrays Ross is a fantastic actor with great improvisation skills. In one scene, Ross, while talking, out of nowhere, awkwardly hands Chandler a lamp. David Schwimmer’s improvisation is clear here, as he doesn’t just pass the lamp as part of the scene, but does it in a way that feels unintentional and clumsy. This adds to the humor by showing Ross's social awkwardness and making the situation even more bizarre.
