Jackie Chan is perhaps the undisputed master of doing his own stunts, with Police Story (1985) being one of his most iconic showcases. The creativity and fearlessness that characterized Chan were very evident when he slid down a pole covered in lights, shattering glass all the way down. The sequence left him severely burned and injured, but it became legendary in action cinema. Chan's philosophy of comedy blended with high-risk stunts has inspired numerous actors, thus making him one of the greatest action stars in history.
