Director Carney and actress Knightley worked together during the filming of Begin Again and the director remarked the actress for a “supermodel” and stated during an interview that she lacked self-analysis as an actor. Even though he later apologized, Knightley also remarked that it was difficult to work with the director and that the duo did not have friendly terms.
