The characters of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen gained fame and so did its actors, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. But, before Kristen Stewart the role was offered to Emily Browning. However, the actress declined because she had just finished filming the horror movie, The Uninvited (2009) and wanted to take a break from a film that would eventually turn into a series.
