People were surprised to learn that actress Amy Schumer was considered to play the popular doll in the blockbuster movie Barbie (2023) before the part went to Margot Robbie and became a phenomenon. Reasons included scheduling conflicts and as Amy revealed, creative differences were also a matter of contention. Schumer had a different idea for the movie, which the studio wasn’t keen on.
