James Dean died in a car crash on September 30, 1955, at just 24 years old, while driving his Porsche 550 Spyder to a race. His death shocked fans and cemented him as a cultural legend. Dean was well known for roles in Rebel Without a Cause and East of Eden, and became a symbol of youthful rebellion and Hollywood’s fleeting nature.
