Bill Cosby faced widespread allegations of s*xual assault beginning in 2014 after comedian Hannibal Buress spotlighted claims against him during a routine. Over 60 women came forward who accused Cosby of drugging and assaulting them over several decades. Cosby was convicted in 2018 of s*xual assault but was released in 2021 after his conviction was overturned on procedural grounds. Once hailed as “America’s Dad,” Cosby’s legacy is now overshadowed by the scandal.
