He is arrogant, misogynistic, maniacal, struggling to hide his obsessive alter ego as a murderer under the guise of an investment banker. And, of course, you can't forget that eerie smile and compulsive perfectionism (that business card scene must've left you scratching your head). The character serves as a satire on the pretentious societal values, balancing humor and horror in a way only Bale could pull off.
