The Disarming Charm, Expelliarmus, is perhaps one of the most well-known spells in the Harry Potter series. It disarms an opponent and has been famously used by Harry Potter in his mock duels in The Chamber of Secrets, and his final battle with Voldemort. The spell is much more than a simple combat spell, it represents Harry's preference for non-lethal resolution. It was after its usage in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows when it disarmed Voldemort during their final battle that this incantation became so popular.
