The original West Side Story from 1961 has earned its place as one of the most celebrated musicals in cinema. So, when Steven Spielberg decided to direct a reboot of the musical which is based on Romeo and Juliet and had a fantastic cast, people were excited for it to hit the screens. But when the movie was released, moviegoers did not enjoy the new version as much as they had the predecessor.
