Leonardo DiCaprio excels in this film version of Alexandre Dumas' classic tale of royal twins. He portrays the evil King Louis XIV and his twin brother, imprisoned at Philippe's castle. The Musketeers plan to substitute the wicked king with his gentler twin, creating plenty of action scenes and tense battles. Released not long after Titanic, this movie demonstrated DiCaprio's versatility further and sealed his place among the superstars. Lush costumes and an epic story make it an excellent holiday historical drama to watch cozily by the fire.
