Gillian adapted the screenplay for the film, and Rosamund Pike received an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Amy. Ben Affleck portrayed Nick, her rather mysterious husband. The haunting score and shocking twists captured many, as the film reached a worldwide gross of over $369 million.
