The Punisher, released in 1989 had Dolph Lundgren who was considered a miscast for the role by many viewers. The villain lacked the menace that the character was supposed to have. The characters lacked depth and development. Some of the scenes felt to have uneven pacing. The movie failed to garner a lasting legacy and became a forgettable entry in the Marvel film adaptations.
