A directorial debut for Cooper, this film is an adaptation of the classic with contemporary music and raw emotion. The performances in this film were incredibly powerful; Gaga and Cooper delivered on every level. With Cooper's subtle direction, along with his great performance and the movie's hit songs, A Star Is Born became a critical and commercial success with multiple Academy Award nominations.
