Brothers Dennis Quaid and Randy Quaid share many similarities: their parents, a passion for acting, and numerous public challenges. Younger brother Dennis's job started to grow in the '80s because of parts in Innerspace, The Big Easy, and Great Balls of Fire! However, in the '90s, he faced challenges with substance abuse, an eating problem, and eventually a difficult divorce from America’s sweetheart, Meg Ryan. Older brother Randy, on the other hand, built a reputation for himself in the '70s and '80s—even receiving an Oscar nomination for The Last Detail in 1973 and gathering a large following as Cousin Eddie in the National Lampoon's Vacation films.
