6) James Purefoy

James Purefoy shot a few scenes as the masked vigilante V but left V for Vendetta, citing difficulties in working under the stifling mask and creative differences with the Wachowskis. He was replaced by Hugo Weaving, who re-shot all of Purefoy's scenes. Purefoy is reportedly not credited for his scenes in V for Vendetta, and many fans speculate that Purefoy's voice and movements appear in the final cut. Purefoy has gone on to earn recognition for his performances in Rome and The Following.
