Annette Bening was initially cast as Selina Kyle/Catwoman in Tim Burton's Batman Returns, and pre-production had even started. However, she suddenly dropped out when she discovered that she was pregnant. Michelle Pfeiffer replaced her and gave a performance that would forever be etched in the memory of filmgoers. Annette Bening has confessed that she does not have any regrets since the family had to take precedence. The fans, however, always wonder what her Catwoman would have made the movie tone like.
