In one of the more troubled productions in Hollywood, Cursed faced some major setbacks. Initially, the production house, Dimension Films, was not satisfied with how the movie was progressing. Shooting was often stopped and later resumed. Additionally, the use of practical werewolf effects were scrapped and replaced with CGI. Coupled with this, the script was rewritten with several characters being written off. Amongst this, Skeet Ulrich was set to play the titular character but ended up leaving filming entirely.
