Ryan Reynolds started his career with Van Wilder: Party Liaison in 2002. The film was a hit, but something was amiss with Reynolds acting. He received mixed reviews with majority stating that the actor failed to add more to the personality of his character and was quite shallow in his portrayal. Later on, with roles in films like, ‘Definitely, Maybe’, ‘Deadpool’ and ‘The Proposal’, Reynolds finally started gaining appreciation for his comic timing, action sequences and versatility, something that he is adored for, today.
