Cate Blanchett's representation of Katharine Hepburn in The Aviator is nothing short of magical. Carrying an aptly composed costume, hairdo, and makeup, Blanchett looked strikingly like the heroine of a century ago. She resembled the great one not only in appearance but also captured Hepburn's fiery nature, swift wit, and bold style. Blanchett received her Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for that portrayal, as well as received critical accolades for her transformation into that character as utterly believable and real.
