Starting as an action star, Eastwood became an Oscar-winning director with hits like Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby. Known for his minimal style, he’s made some of Hollywood’s most iconic dramas. As an actor, Eastwood always desired control over the art of filmmaking. This desire turned into reality with his directional debut Play Misty for Me in 1971.
