He was enrolled at the University of Missouri, where he was earning a degree in journalism and was quite interested in the sector of advertising. But it seems like he had a career-defining epiphany and dropped out just short of graduating and moved to LA. There he started auditioning for roles and after three auditions landed a supporting role in Thelma and Louise and began his successful, super-hit career in Hollywood.
