In Game of Thrones, man's fight against the White Walkers is a perfect embodiment of the theme of man vs. myth. What was a myth, the Night King and his army of dead, now was an all-too-real danger to Jon Snow and his friends beyond the Wall. This theme the show portrays, of human factions uniting against the supernatural menace, explains myths usually carry warnings for human survival. The epic battles, especially those in The Long Night, make suspense mingle with the inevitability of it all, reminding the viewers that fighting myths takes unity, courage, and readiness to adapt.
