Indiana Jones: The Final Adventure from Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) to Dial of Destiny (2023), represents an epic man vs. myth saga, with his trusty whip and insatiable curiosity. In each case, Jones seems to get into an encounter with an ancient myth and/or curse, often outwitting deadly traps of the Ark of the Covenant or the puzzle of the Holy Grail to demonstrate that human wits and resolve often trump the mythical. His travels remind the reader of this human impulse, even with supernatural adversities.
