In season 6 when we see Alaric getting accustomed to the new life after his resurrection he struggles with normalcy. He’s back to teaching at Whitmore but misses his connection with his friends. It reminds us that Alaric is more than just a hunter or a supernatural being as he is trying to find his place in the world.
