Pierrot Le Fou transcends the category of romantic movies and blends elements of romance with drama and even comedy all of it wrapped in an unconventional package. The movie tells the story of Ferdinand Griffon who after getting fired from his job decides to escape from his chaotic life. Though it is not a straightforward romantic movie its exploration of themes of alienation and the complexities of relationships resonates with the viewers.
