For his middle child, Alex, who is an intellectual, smart, and brilliant girl, Phil is always supportive. In fact, because he knows Alex puts so much pressure on herself, he tries to emphasize that she is special and not just smart. He always cheers for her at her every milestone and tries to record these moments on his camera with teary-eyed speeches.
