Based on the life of Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, this film tells the story of his journey when he traveled from his poor neighborhood in Madras, India to Cambridge University. The movie is based on the 1991 book of the same name, written by Robert Kanigel which chronicles Ramanujan's groundbreaking work in mathematics, despite facing cultural and academic challenges, left an enduring legacy.
