The Shape of Water is a modern-day fairytale by Guillermo del Toro. The film's story revolves around the love story between a mute woman and an aquatic creature of mystery. Oscar-winning, set during the Cold War, this movie is a beautifully told story about acceptance and being human. Sally Hawkins gives an incredible performance by portraying the spirit of a woman who sees beauty in something where others see a monster. The tribute to classic monster movies by del Toro, the use of colors and textures make this film one of the unforgettable cinematic masterpieces.
